Raindance Jury Comment
“Elham gave us a story that’s both intimate and vast. A daughter's defiance echoing the planet's cry for survival, as well as keeping her love and memories of her father alive as she seeks to bury him. As extreme climate change forces a nearby river to perhaps flood his grave or cemetery.
With grace and boldness, Elham and his film dares to ask how we honour the past while facing an uncertain future. Love and grief become resistance and her ritual becomes reclamation. A film that reminds us the most powerful stories often whisper and can still shake the ground and honor the skies above. Congratulations to Elham.”
