My favourite films
of 2025

I usually measure the end of my year from one Cannes to the next, but I’ll play along with normal life calendar and round up some of my favourite films over the past twelve months.  

It’s been a good year for cinema, not as strong as previous years but we need the lulls to appreciate the highs when they come. And they will come. 

Regardless, I still watched gems that took my breath away and made me forget who I was for two hours.

They all left a bruise.
