Directors Statement
Dealing with the profound loss of her father, Mira goes on poignant journey of healing and self discovery. The film explores the transformative power of reconciliation and the universal themes of love and forgiveness.
Mira mirrors the disorienting shifts in her own life with the profound impact that climate change has on the tapestry of our world. Nature, in its relentless evolution, becomes a compelling force urging her toward an unthinkable act — the disturbance of her late father's resting place.
With each new film, I ask myself not only how I can improve the craft and creation of the picture on screen, but most importantly, how I can tell stories that show a view from a previously unseen vantage.
Cinema is a mirror to ourselves, and my aim is to show the interconnectedness of humanity and nature, to look at our own actions that threaten this beautiful planet of ours because soon, the soft rains will come.
