Some of the best pieces of art live with us forever. Almost like a second beating heart.

The Band’s Visit, a film made in 2007, is such a masterpiece. It is about the chasms of love and loss that seperate me and you, yet also form the bridge between each of us. It’s for us to decide whether we’d like to cross that bridge and meet each other in the middle.

If I am lucky enough to make one film during my lifetime that is half as good as The Band’s Visit, I will consider this little life well spent.
